See, how tarnished this silver tumbler is. It was a gift to my older daughter from my mom, when she was born.

How to clean tarnished silver

Any toothpaste would do. Does not have to be a fancy one. I have one from the Dollar store just to keep in my kitchen for cleaning purpose.How to clean tarnished silver

Apply the toothpaste to the tarnished silver generously.How to clean tarnished silver

Then just rub it clean with paper towel, a clean cotton rag or even your hands, if you don’t mind getting them dirty.How to clean tarnished silver

That’s it! Silver tumbler shiny and new again.

I have also cleaned silver ear rings with the same technique. Instead of using the rag, I have used soft bristle tooth brush for rubbing. How to clean tarnished silver
