Succulent wall art

Succulent 3D Wall artI made this succulent wall art as a gift for one of our friends. I bought this small square shaped table top succulent arrangement from Michael’s and had rest of the stuff needed for this project in my craft stash. Succulent 3D Wall artI painted the square frame white. While it was drying, I cut a 1/8 inch thick piece of plywood to fit into the frame opening, and then modpodged the black burlap to it.

Succulent 3D Wall artWhen dry, I applied the second coat of Modpodge mixed with a little glitter and let it dry for about 2 hours. Modpodge made the burlap stiff after drying. I then trimmed the burlap edges flush with the plywood.Succulent 3D Wall artThen it was time to fit the plywood into the frame. I did that with the help of 6×3/4 screws.Succulent 3D Wall art

I then hot glued the succulent arrangement in the middle of the frame. To make it a bit more lively, I sat there a small bird also.Succulent 3D Wall art

I think this bird takes this wall art a notch higher.
