In our previous house, I had bought identical blinds for the windows for both of my daughters’ rooms, but both ended up looking totally different from each other because of the way they were painted to suit the rooms they were in.
I shared the details about the one painted in a geometric pattern for my younger daughter’s room in the earlier post here.
My older daughter painted the one’s in her room by herself to match the dandelions on her room wall. This is the only picture I could find that wall of her room. Look closely for the faintly painted dandelions on the wall. She wanted a very subtle and natural design on her room walls. Even the colors she chose were very muted, very light pinkish lavender and off white.
She painted these dandelions on the wall free hand. For the blinds though, she drew lightly with white chalk and painted over with a shade darker than the color of her room walls. I don’t have any pictures of the process, but few pictures of the blinds, when they were done. These pictures are taken at different times of the day and night, that’s why difference in color.
Out of the two blinds, which one is your favorite?
