A set of Table lamps get makeover

Makeover of table lamps with glass shadeI bought this pair of lamps for our friends’ new house. Don’t get me wrong. I did not buy these to pass on to them just like that. I knew that I would give them a face lift, but did not know how. A couple of things made me buy these lamps. First the base is solid metal and very sturdy. Second, the glass shades are very pretty with swirly pattern and also quite solid, and lastly the price was just right.

I loved the antiqued bronze look on the bases, therefore I kept them as it is, with some accent painting. I did not want to cover swirls of the shade either, therefore worked on the edges only.Makeover of table lamps with glass shade

I have not been able to take a good picture of the shades with all the swirls showing, when light glows through them, but they look really pretty. All in all I was very pleased with them.
